« DENVOR NEWS - DTC »

Genetics is an interesting phenomenon and thats why bloodline observation in a herd is very important.

To identify certain females in a herd that keep on producing is essential and that usually the rams to use in a herd should originate from one of these ewes.

Such a ewe is DTC 2055 - a ewe sold previously for R17000. [ON DAM SIDE IS SA CHAMP EWE DTC 5084 WHICH WAS SA CHAMP FOR 2 SUCCESSIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS - A RARE FEAT]

Besides other lambs she has produced, she has produced a ram DTC 7167 [stud animal] and stood 3rd in SA CHAMPS and a ewe DTC 5011 - [stood 2nd in SA CHAMPS].

DTC 5011 has now prduced twin lambs, DTC  8005  [STOOD 5TH AT SA CHAMPS] and DTC 8006 [STOOD 4TH AT SA CHAMPS] - both too young for their age group.

Then in the group classes - progeny of a ewe - 7167 and 5011 stood 2nd and 8005 and 8006 stood 3rd.

DTC 5011 has now produced a ram lamb [DTC 9009] with exceptional qualities - a ram weighuing 85 kg at 7 months.

What a legacy!!  - AND the main trait is length.

Another ewe DTC 2234 has done the same thing AND has produced many quality ram lambs.

DTC 6722 a son, was the ALFA SHOW ram selected for the ram with the highest peformance figures in 2018, and now another son DTC 7351 has achieved the same distinction for the 2019 ALFA SHOW.

The same thing can be said about another ewe DTC 1200, a daughter of DTC 9122 [SA CHAMP] and PRODUCED A RAM DTC 7361 - A SON OF DTC 5104 - which is a son of DTC 2055.

RAM DTC 7361 IS PRODUCING SOME QUALITY LAMBS - A RAM FOR THE FUTURE !!
